The main factors in this game were the weather conditions and both teams struggled to come to terms with the strong wind, hale and snow!
An evenly balanced first half saw both teams create half chances but neither team could capitalise.

Ten minutes into the second half the Kettering striker caught out the Godmanchester defence with an overhead kick into the top left corner to open the scoring. Soon afterwards Godmancehsters  determination paid off when Karen Williams played a through ball to Sophie Hurst who drove the ball home from 18 yards out. Both teams battled to the final whistle with a final score of 1-1.

"With two of our best players out long term injured this was a great performance against very good opposition. Both teams created lots of chances but unfortunately the weather conditions made it almost impossible to play any half decent football. We were delighted to take a point from this game and a draw was a fair result"
