Godmanchester Ladies 0 Stevenage Borough 2

 

Godmanchester went into this game with only 10 fit players and Laura McAllister suffering with a ankle injury but played to make the numbers up. Goddy were without Claire Radford,Sarah Moore (Both Ill), Ounie Pegus and Andrea Starr for this match so the girls knew they needed to work hard if they wanted a result. Yaz Icklin and Zoe DeGrussa both came straight into the team after being out since august.

The make shift Goddy team were under attack from the minute go and a very quick Stevenage team created alots of chances and played some good football and they were awarded when they scored a early goal and then another goal on the stroke of half time. Goddy came out in the second half more determined but just couldnt find that finishing touch. A much improved second half meant that Goddy didnt let any goals in but still the final scored was 2-0 to stevenage.

Goddy play Barton away next weekend and a much improved performance will be needed to get a result out of the game however Goddy will be without Emma Shaw,Claire Radford and Laura McAllister is a doubt for the match but we hope to have the return of Sarah Moore and Ounie Pegus for this match
