 Godmanchester 2 Cambridge Rangers 5

For the first time in months Goddy could field 11players for a game and could even manage a sub. It was a miracle.
Yaz Ickin,Zoe Degrussa,Maria Lumley all made there 2nd appearance of the season for Goddy after missing most of it due to work commiments and University and with the return of Andrea Starr from illness meant that Goddy had 13 players for todays match although still missing key players Claire Radford and Laura McAllister.
Goddy went into this game believing that they could get somthing out of the game but it all went wrong as soon as Rangers scored there first goal of the game, Some good link up play between  Sarah,Kerry and Zoe meant that Goddy started to create chances but could not find the final touch. Good wing play by Rangers lead to them scoreing there next 2 goals   before half time to make the half time score 3-0.
Goddy came out in the 2nd half determined to get somthing out of the game and put up a battle against a very experienced team. Goddy started to reagain Possession and play some good football which wasnt easy on a very muddy and sticky pitch but good play down our right wing by Kerry Elmer lead to Goddy winning a corner. A Floated cross by Becks Thoday found a unmarked Sarah Gee at the back post who headed it home to make the score 3-1. Goddy then started to push forward in hope of getting another goal but a quick break by Rangers lead to there 4th goal . Soon afterwards a ball knocked up field to Sarah Gee by Becks Thoday who turned with it and lobbed it over the oncoming keeper to make the score 4-2. Goddy changed there formation to 3 up front which left the back four and midfield with lots of work to do and a shot from the right wing some how went in the goal to make the final score 5-2 to Cambridge Rangers

" Today our girls just couldnt match Cambridge Rangers , In the first half Rangers dominated the midfield which resulted in them going in at half time 3-0 up. In the 2nd half the girls came out with confidents that they could get somthing out the game but just couldnt find the final touches in front of goal, With the hope of key players Claire Radford and Laura Mc returning to the team next year Goddy hope to turn around what has been a topsy turvey start to the season"
