Godmanchester went into this game having had a two week break due to our home pitch being waterlogged
and with new Signing Kerry Elmer making her debut for us, but it wasnt to be Godmanchesters day as they went down
5-0 to Sawbridgeworth.
With 2 players pulling out of the game at the last minute and still missing Claire Radford,Laura
McAllister and Perri Jeffries Godmanchester traveled down with only 9 players but at the last minute injured Laura
McAllister decided to play in goal for the team meaning goalkeeper Kate Bunch played on the pitch so Goddy started with 10
players
On a very boggy pitch Godmanchester just couldnt play much decent football and went in
at half time 4-0 down. A much improved performance in the second half meant Godmanchester only let in 1 goal to make
the final score 5-0 . A few players picked up some injuries today and we hope that they will all be fit for next weekends
game at home to Cambridge Rangers where we need to get back to Winning ways
